Lexington One spends less per pupil than many school districts in the state. In fact 48 out of the state’s 85 school districts currently spend more per pupil than Lexington One. Obviously the district is a good steward of taxpayers’ money.
really, people!? i would have thought the district would want to hide this fact, not advertise it! wouldn't you think that education would be one thing we would want our tax dollars to go to?

That's amazing. And really, really sad.
You're missing the point. Lexington One is one of the highest achieving school districts in the state. The fact that they are able to accomplish what they do while being fiscally responsible proves that throwing money at education is no solution.
i'll admit maybe there's a point to be made there. but regardless, the phrasing of this was horrible and it sounds incredibly stupid.
Lexington One may be one of the better school districts, but it may not be directly related to tax dollar spending. I would also consider the district's or counties avg. family income.
Average Lexington household income is $62,711.
Average SC household income is $43,480.
Average US Household income is $49,199.
Hummm....Lexington County household income is 27% greater than the US average. A possible influence?
