chris and i were all jazzed up to go to the
georgia aquarium this weekend in atlanta. that is, until we realized it would be close to
50 bucks for us both to get in! that's right. $23 per ticket! that's crazy. so, needless to say, we won't be seeing the whale shark this weekend, not because he's not worth it, but because we can't afford it. :(

You should check with your local zoos. Many zoos and aquariums have programs, which allow you to visit reciprocal zoos and aquariums. So, in other words, if you become a member of a zoo, you may be able to go to the aquarium for free. You could check out the aquarium's website, see if it has agreements with any reciprocal zoos, and then visit their sites to see what it costs to become a member. Some smaller zoos are fairly low cost.
oh yes, dear brother. i have actually looked into that. we are members of our awesome zoo here in columbia and i wondered if it might give me a discount. or, i thought, perhaps they'll have one of those crazy deals like buy a coke get $15 off the price of admission. but no, apparently, there are relatively NO discounts to the georgia aquarium and apparently that's causing a little bit of a stir for local residents.
Its probably a good thing you did go to the aquariums. They probably got Sharks there and well your husband, my good friend, doesn't do real well around sharks. He has an irrational and illogical fear of them. But I got an irrational and illogical fear of snakes so I don't brign it up much. But watching Jaws or Deep Blue Sea with is hiliarious
