i feel like doo and we leave for nj (the coldest state on the planet*) tomorrow and now blogger has made me change my profile over to google. it's supposed to make my life easier, they said. bull doo! it's turned into a royal pia. thanks, blogger.

I did it a long time ago with regrets.
The beta version is simple to use but I believe it may limit creativity in blog design.
Unfortunately I don't know because I was still working on my site design when beta popped up. I took a chance to see if it would help me. It didn’t and I had to “fix” some items.
In the long run I decided not to fret over the details. This qualifies it as one of the small things in life.
If it makes you feel better (about Blogger or about having been sick, I duuno), Blogger will let you keep your template the same when you switch (that's what I did). I think all I had to "fix" were the nonstandard characters in my header that I used to keep my students from googling my blog.
the reason it was such a pain, which i couldn't really elaborate about at the time, was that it was not allowing me to post to my mom's surprise birthday blog because it had multiple contributors, all of whom had not yet updated. it was just a pain and i was not in the mood. but i've not found any other problems so far other than that.
